As one hits the age of forty years wise, you may have to fight through magazine covers of twenty-somethings that are clad in bikinis and bare mid-drifts, football games with pom-pom holding models, and insta-beauty girls across social media screaming, “We’re young, we’re pretty, we’re what you’re not!”
Yes, yes, I know, skinny, bikinis, and insta-anything doesn’t define beauty. We are, by definition, perfection if we are indeed made in the image of God. Our flaws are only temporary and our aging bodies all have the stories that the young do not. There is nothing to compare. Then why do we do so?
I think it’s time that those of us who struggle with self-worth issues and with the thoughts of mid-life knocking on our doors to discover the meaning of true beauty and what defines our worth.
God’s Word is full of truth, love and what really counts. Social circles, online or in person, do not define us on any level unless we allow them to.
Here we discover 15 truths from the Bible to help us not only build up our own self-esteems, but to show that it’s not us that deserves the glory, all glory be to God, our Strong Creator. And remember, what He saw was very good. He is good, all the time.

I’m not going through mid life, but I am a twenty something who is majorly struggling with self worth. I’m going to save this to look over when I need reminders I’m worthy to God.
